During the day, the system generates electricity which, depending on the chosen setting, is prioritised to appliances or to the storage batteries. In the absence of sunlight, the energy stored in the batteries is made available to the domestic appliances. If the battery charge drops below a certain threshold, it can be charged by the diesel generator or by the electrical grid, ensuring supply during subsequent hours when energy costs are higher or in anticipation of a grid blackout lasting several hours.
