FuturaSun extends the product warranty to 15 years and increases the performance warranty

FuturaSun has expanded the warranty duration on the entire range of photovoltaic modules to 15 years and has also updated the linear performance warranty.

The company guarantees a linear decay of 0.5 % starting from the second year. The extension of the performance warranty to 90% within the twentieth year and 87% within the twenty-fifth year is also new. The extension of the warranty is valid for all modules purchased starting from May 15 2017.

Nicola Baggio, CTO of FuturaSun: “The historical decay data for modules installed over 10 years ago, confirms that if the PV module is of superior top quality, its natural degradation is limited. Module manufacturers have always taken precautions, guaranteeing values way beyond the realistic degradation. However today, almost 15 years since the start of the commercial era of photovoltaic modules, we have statistics that allow to evaluate with real data the degradation, and it is correct to transmit this information to the customers to be used in their business plans.”
